Back to SelfServ TerminalsBack to Select PlatformDirections for updating the BIOS - set up the terminal to boot off of the CD or USB key. BIOS update is automatic for CD or USB key boots. This a multiple boot process. Terminal should reboot 3 times. First boot to start process with CD or USB key, second boot to finish the BIOS update process and the third boot takes the terminal back to normal operation (remove CD or USB key for this boot). The same boot media, CD or USB key, needs to be booted the 2nd time from either the CD or USB key media to complete the BIOS/SPI update process. The update process will pause 2 minutes at completion before rebooting automatically. The CD or USB key should be removed prior to that reboot which is the third boot back to normal operation.
